Travelseekr is a company that aims at providing seamlessly planning and booking experience for business travelers. The existing travel planning and booking process bring heavy works to the travelers, they need to do a lot of research and use multiple applications to book the tickets and accommodations. Or an agent would handle the job but most take a long time and the results are unsatisfactory. Travelseekr wants to change the status quo and acting as a personal assistant for business travelers by providing personalized options.
Americans make more than 445 million business trips per year. 50% of travelers spend a big amount of time to adjust bookings and travel arrangements.
The Challenge
The goal of creating this app is to free business people from doing the research for traveling. However, from Millenials to X generations, each travelers' wants and needs are different. It is hard and crucial to tap into individual traveler's preferences and to provide a satisfactory recommendation in a short amount of time.
Identify the Importance
After the analysis of the quantitative research and multiple user interviews, 3 elements are regarded as important to business travelers: time, price, brands. The user will be able to rank those elements by the order of importance they are to their business trips. There are several following questions that help travelseekr to understand the user's preferences so that it can give better recommendations.
Tailored Itinerary for Different Type of Users
Knowing what type of traveler the user is, travelseekr will find suitable flights and accommodations for her/him. Along with the recommendations, it also prepares several other options for the user based on her/his second preference so that even if the user doesn't like what's in the recommended itinerary, she/he doesn't need to spend a long time finding other ones.
